Businesses purchasing qualifying CNC machine tools, automation equipment and other eligible business equipment may be able to deduct all or a substantial portion of the equipment cost in the year the equipment is placed in service. Financing May Still Qualify for Section 179

Qualifying equipment does not necessarily have to be paid for in full during 2026 to qualify for Section 179. Equipment acquired through an eligible financing arrangement may still qualify based on the eligible purchase price, provided the applicable tax requirements are met and the equipment is placed in service during the applicable tax year.
