Perhaps the biggest mistake we see customers making when transitioning to CNC automation is going with an out-of-state or inexperienced supplier. We see this all the time, and we often get calls from companies needing service and support on the CNC automation systems they purchased from an out-of-state integrator or a local CNC dealer who really doesn't know robotics. The sad thing is, it leaves a bad taste for robotics in their mouths

One would not likely work with an out-of state CNC supplier, so one should definitely not work with an out-of-state robotics integrator. This includes CNC dealers who represent authorized integrators but are not integrators themselves. In other words, you and your CNC dealer would still likely depend on the out-of-state integrator for service & support.

The best scenario is to go with a local Fanuc Authorized Systems Integrator who is not only experienced and trained in CNC, but have technicians who are also trained, experienced and dedicated to robotics applications.

Very Important! Go to their facility and look at their tech center. Speak with their robotics techs and get a demonstration. They shoud have robots and cobots under power in machine tending applications powered up on the floor not just for demonstration but for their own learning and training.
